How to configure Wi-fi+Lan bridged access point in pfSense firewall router

To configure a Wi-Fi and LAN bridged access point in pfSense firewall router, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the pfSense web interface and go to the "Interfaces" tab.

  2. Click the "Add" button in the "WAN" section.

  3. Select the "Wi-Fi" interface from the "Type" dropdown menu and click the "Save" button.

  4. In the "Wireless" tab, select the "Access Point" mode and enter a name for the wireless network in the "ESSID" field.

  5. In the "Wireless Security" section, select the security mode and enter the necessary credentials.

  6. Go to the "Firewall" tab and click the "NAT" subtab.

  7. Click the "Add" button in the "Outbound" section.

  8. In the "Interface" field, select the "Wi-Fi" interface.

  9. In the "Source" field, select the LAN subnet.

  10. In the "Destination" field, select "Any".

  11. Click the "Save" button.

  12. In the "Interfaces" tab, click the "Add" button in the "LAN" section.

  13. Select the "Wi-Fi" interface from the "Type" dropdown menu and click the "Save" button.

  14. Go to the "Firewall" tab and click the "NAT" subtab.

  15. Click the "Add" button in the "Outbound" section.

  16. In the "Interface" field, select the "Wi-Fi" interface.

  17. In the "Source" field, select the LAN subnet.

  18. In the "Destination" field, select "Any".

  19. Click the "Save" button.

Your pfSense firewall router should now be configured as a Wi-Fi and LAN bridged access point.
