Firefox: Add a Trusted CA

To add a trusted certificate authority (CA) to the Firefox web browser, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Firefox web browser.

  2. In the address bar, type about:preferences#privacy and press Enter. This will open the Privacy & Security preferences.

  3. Scroll down to the "Certificates" section and click the "View Certificates" button.

  4. In the Certificate Manager window, click the "Authorities" tab.

  5. Click the "Import" button.

  6. In the "File name" field, browse to and select the certificate file for the CA that you want to add. The certificate file should have a .crt or .pem extension.

  7. Click the "Open" button.

  8. In the "Import Certificate" dialog, select the "Trust this CA to identify websites" option.

  9. Click the "OK" button.

The CA's certificate should now be added to the list of trusted authorities in Firefox.
